Our Aunties and Uncles group which meets every Wednesday from 10.30am to lunch provides a wonderful and unique opportunity for people from every culture, background (many are refugees), to come together and share their gifts, stories, experiences and talents. Our newest two members hail from Syria and Mohammad loves to write poetry. Please enjoy his poem.

Challenging our actual ages.

In spite of what is our actual written age!

In spite of how was our long historical life stage!

Don't worry about some recent weakness.

Don't feel sorrow for some casual illnesses.

Whatever the others may whisper or could say!

We must be proud of our achievements way.

Your appearance is what you are really showing.

Your active, youthful energy is how you are going.

Your real lovely age will still giving shining ray.

As you were confident of yourself, so you will stay .

How much your creative lovely spirit could shine?

Your Experience, your knowledge keeps you fine.

Your true power is your bridge to a successful future.

Keep always your Strong will as your life indicator.

Your reacting energy is still beyond and above.

Make it with love your lovely paradise and groves.

Walk in a fresh air with a dreaming song as you could.

Try to be always cheerful and happy as you would.

Start each new joyous day with a wide gentle smile.

Finish your lovely dreaming day completely satisfied.

Be sure that all your actual activities are acceptable.

So don't lay down, alone, sad and uncomfortable.

In this peaceful country you can do whatever you like

In this safe land we have to follow what is the right.

Always keep your experience which full of wisdom,

It has to shine your heart with a happiness idiom .

Don't be miserable, you are strong.

Don't feel isolated, you are young.

Join communities and to them belong
